Taxi driver gives details on Osama bin Laden

ഈ ജനത അന്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഈസമരം പൊടുന്നനെ ഉണ്ടായ ഒന്നല്ല. ഇതിനു ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഓരോ ജനതയും സ്വയം നിര്‍മ്മിതിക്കുവേണ്ടി തയ്യാറായ ഒരു കാലത്തോളം പഴക്കമുണ്ട്. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ സമൂഹത്തിന്‍റെ തട്ടുകള്‍രൂപപ്പെടുത്തപ്പെട്ട
ഒരുകാലത്തോളം പഴക്കമുണ്ട്. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു ജനത ഉണരുമ്പോള്‍ ആര്‍ക്കെല്ലാമോ ഭയപ്പാടുണ്ടാകുന്നുണ്ട്. ഭയം എന്നത് മുന്പ് ചെയ്ത കര്‍മ്മത്തിന്റെ അനന്തരഫലം കൂടിയാണ്. അതൊരു ഏറ്റെടുക്കാന്‍ തയ്യാറില്ലാത്തവന്‍റെ കുറ്റബോധമാണ്.അതൊരു മാനസിക പ്രതിഭാസമാണ്. അതില്ലാതിരിക്കുക എന്നത് സമരത്തിന്‍റെ ആവശ്യമാകുന്നു. അപ്പോള്‍ തര്‍ക്കം അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ സമരം നടക്കുന്നത് ഭയമില്ലാത്തവനും ബഹ്യപ്പെടുന്നവനും തമ്മിലാണ്
ഭയപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്ക്‌ സുരക്ഷാ സംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ ആവശ്യമായി വരുന്നു. ചുറ്റുപാടും അഗ്നിവര്ഷിക്കുന്ന സുരക്ഷാ സംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയിട്ട് അവന്‍ നിര്ഭയത്തത്തെ കുറിച്ചും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തെ കുറിച്ചും ജീവിതത്തെ കുറിച്ചും സംസാരിക്കുന്നു
അവര്‍ സങ്കേതങ്ങളില്‍ സുഖമായി ജീവിതം നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുന്നു.
എന്നാല്‍ അപ്പോഴും മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്നത്/ജീവിതം തീര്‍ക്കുന്നത് ആകാശമെന്ന കൂരക്കു കീഴിലാണ്. മഴപെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ സൂര്യന്‍ ചൂടാകുമ്പോള്‍ സ്വയം തലയ്ക്കു മീതെ പിടിച്ച രണ്ട്‌ കയ്യുകളാണവന് വീട്. ഈ വീട്ടില്‍ നിന്നും മറ്റൊരു വീട് തേടാനുള്ളതാണ് സമരം. അവന്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്നത് മണ്ണിലാണ്. അവന്‍ ജനിച്ച മണ്ണാണിത് പക്ഷെ ആമണ്ണ് ആരുടെതാണ് എന്നതാണ് തര്‍ക്കം. അപ്പോള്‍ രാജ്യം തന്നെ ഒരു തര്‍ക്കമായിത്തീരുന്നു. അപായകരമാണതിന്‍റെ ഫലം. Do Fish Sleep?
I was watching the fish in my fish pond at home .. A question that's always kept me wondering is whether fish sleep or not. My mother told me once that she saw the goldfish in our pond almost leaning on the small pebbles we've put in it. I almost didn't believe her until today when i finally managed to give up laziness(:P) and do a search on the web for an answer.
I learnt that fish do sleep, but not quite like we humans do.. It's more like, they go into a "resting phase" with reduced activity of brain and body.. except sharks which have to keep moving to push water through their mouths in order to breathe..

Pak must now act against 26/11 perpetrators: India
A day after David Headley admitted to his role in 26/11 in a plea bargain in America, Home Minister P Chidambaram stepped up pressure on Pakistan to take action against the 26/11 perpetrators.
In a statement, Chidambaram said Headley's guilty plea is a severe indictment of the role played by terrorists in Pakistan. (Read: Chidambaram's full statement). The statement says:
"India would be able to obtain access to David Coleman Headley to question him in a properly constituted judicial proceeding. Such judicial proceeding could be either pre-trial or during an inquiry or trial. It is also my understanding that David Coleman Headley is obliged to cooperate fully and truthfully in such proceedings... The plea agreement is the most damning indictment of the role played by certain persons in Pakistan... The "plea agreement" should spur Pakistan to take action against all the conspirators and bring them to justice. Nothing short of that will be acceptable to India or will satisfy world opinion."

Women's Bill
Women's Reservation Bill rocked the proceedings in the Lok Sabha for the third day on Wednesday forcing Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the House till till 11 am on Thursday.
As soon as the House assembled for the day, SP, RJD and some JD(U) members criticised the government's "autocratic move" to pass the Bill in the Rajya Sabha.
With Speaker insisting on going ahead with the Question Hour, the members trooped into the well and shouted slogans.
Soon SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and JD(U) president and NDA Convenor Sharad Yadav marched to the Well to protest the passage of the bill in the Upper House on Tuesday...

Chennai Parliament
The Rs 425 crore state-of-the-art Tamil Nadu Assembly complex, built over an area of over 80,000 square metres, is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on March 13.
A pet project of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, the complex, built at the Omandurar Government Estate on arterial Anna Salai, has been designed by German architect and infrastructure developer GMP International.
The civil works of the assembly-secretariat project, for which the foundation was laid in June 2008 by Karunanidhi, were undertaken by city-based ECCI company.
UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is also expected to be present for the inauguration. The six-storey complex would host the budget session commencing from March 19.

60 people questioned for robbery at Hema Malini's home
More than 60 people have been questioned in connection with the heist at Bollywood actor Hema Malini's bungalow in suburban Goregaon, the police said on Tuesday.
"We have questioned over 60 persons including two security men who were on duty at the bungalow at the time of burglary, including domestic helps and milkman," Senior Inspector Vinayak Kakde from Dindoshi Police Station said.
"We have not yet got a breakthrough but hope to crack the case soon. Our probe is on the right track," he added.

Make-a-Word
Once upon a time... :P When I was in class 7th, on a particular day, one of teachers didn't turn up.. So we had this substitution teacher instead. She came and sat in our class and started correcting a pile of notebooks. Since we were(undoubtedly) a very very noisy class, she obviously couldn't concentrate. She stood up and asked us all to take out a sheet of paper each.. She picked up a piece of chalk from the chalk box and walked towards the board. She wrote the word CONSTANTINOPLE there in bold, and asked us to make words out of this. each new word should have a minimum of 3 alphabets and the person who'd get the most would get a chocolate..
Such silence fell over the class as each one of us hurried with new words..
No, i didn't win the chocolate.. I don't remember who did.. but i can't forget this tiny episode, no matter how insignificant it looks. And i cant forget the word..
So how many words can you make?
