Many television channels on 9th January night flashed news telling that a writer in Malayalam is being attacked by a group of young persons of a democratic party. I was expecting the visuals of the writer in a very bad stage after the so called ‘attack’, but thank God I saw the writer sitting in an air-conditioned compartment of the train and narrating the story of attack. Good nothing happened to him, but let me ask the community, don’t we have the freedom to question or do we want to close our eyes and ears. Everyone has the right to talk and ask the other about his comment.
I don’t think the writer has been attacked by the activists, if so he will not be like this, I think he might have been stopped on his way. For this reason how could he tell that all the persons of the Democratic Party is wrong. How could he tell that the party is wrong at every point? If the writer is telling that this is the total failure of the party, will he tell that all muslims are wrong when some do the mistakes, or will he blame all the Sikhs for the incident that took Mrs Gandhi’s life.
We are all humans don’t think that we are genius in all , we may sometime do wrong , and sometime right, but when pointing ones fault , do ask yourself what all wrong one has did. The other point that he doesn’t want to lodge a complaint against the activists, this shows he don’t believe in Kerala police, then which state police he believes in when residing in Kerala. With this incident I could tell that everyone likes publicity in one or the other way.
The writer is still continuing the arguments, and he is always happily giving comments on all news channels. Now I could just comment that leave the matter sir...
(all people who read this , pl comment on this )
Alright so you're saying our "writer" here is wrong in saying that he was attacked.. but he was attacked! supposedly by DYFI activists.I don't see his not lodging a complaint as a big thing.. What I think instead that when a man chooses to raise his voice against this sort of a stagnant mentality that our people have, some people just go beat him up. I don't understand how these youngsters thought that they could beat up or lets say "attack" a person for expressing an opinion.
ReplyDeleteAnd Surabhi, even after having been in Kerala only for a little while, I am so damn sure those activists must have tried to manhandle him, youth politics isn't very neat out here. Okay maybe they didn't break his bones...
