REMEMBERENCE
Indira Gandhi was one of the greatest political leaders in India. She was the first and only woman to be elected as the Prime Minister of our great nation. She is also regarded as the most controversial political leader of the country for her unprecedented decision of imposing “emergency". She was also criticized for carrying out the Blue-Star operation in Punjab that eventually scripted her assassination on 31 October 1984. Indira Gandhi's bodyguards Satwant Singh and Beant Singh, as a revenge of the Golden Temple assault, assassinated the Prime Minister by using their service gun, at her Safdarjung Road residence. If she have not ordered the operation against people who started demanding separate land called Khalisthan; today that might have affected our national integration.

Its 25 years today without the great leader. What all difference we have in the political view, let’s place the flowers of remembrance in front of our golden memories about her & let us stand united holding our national flag high up.

THE BATON MOVES ON...
India has a come a long way in the field of space technology. Dr.G.Madhavan Nair is retiring from his service today after his 48 years of dedicated service and the baton is given as chairman to Dr. K. Radhakrishnan. He himself tells that Chandrayan was his greatest achievement in life, but let us remember that, it was not his achievement alone, it was the achievement of India, and we all are proud of that.
Lets at this point show our gratitude to Dr.G.Madhavan Nair, and wish Dr.K. Radhakrishnan all success who is to hold the batten of ISRO.

GOSSIP vs FREEDOM
People have the freedom to think, write, move & do what they like. But if anyone who does not have such a freedom will be frustrated one in the society, and will start spreading gossips against the person who have freedom. I know a person’s freedom is till they disturb the other or till they obstruct the other person. People differ in their thoughts and performance, when one is not able to think or perform than the other, they find jealous about the other. To overcome this or to avoid ones fault they start telling gossips .Many people in the society are happy in telling gossips or hearing ones gossips. The fact that the gossiping people don’t have is the guts or daringness to ask the person whom they gossip. Actually telling gossips or hearing gossips is for persons who don’t have backbone.
Freedom is ones own in different ways. One may find the other doing wrong what he or she can’t. To many, restrictions or no freedom are keeping them in mental prison. This mental prison after some time turns into frustration, and that too after long time turns as mad, from getting rid of all these personal problems they seek freedom and happiness by telling gossips.
The gossips can be crowned to anyone at any moment.
If some happen to see a person coming out of a bar, its sealed that he or she is drunken .Before knowing the fact the one who saw will start gossiping. The gossip will make its depth while travelling from one to other. Anyway dear ones, in this beautiful world lets not hear or tell gossips. This will turn back to you as boomerang once. The proverb at this point is ‘LIVE AND LET LIVE’.

Congress Cuts its Costs...?

My comment on expenditure cut by congress
Nowadays the one of the most talked subject by politicians is the expenditure cut by congress, for this they asked two cabinet ministers, ie Mr.Shashi Tharoor & Mr. S.M. Krishna to vacate the expensive hotels where they stayed, and also the congress has come up with a circular to all ministers to travel in the economy class, and that decision is still going on.Days back when Mr Rahul Gandhi came to visit Kerala, its understood that a good amount of money was spent. Many TV news channels gave importance to this issue, and also many of the ministers here in Kerala was speaking untiringly about the expenditure by Rahuls visit. To my knowledge he is having the same security as for a cabinet minister, he is also in the hit list of terrorists, or if any organisation block his way or do any odd thing to him, that will lead to many untoward incidents in India. And also it’s understood that he is the target for terrorists to making the world know about them. In his personal life he has lost his grandmother & father. On 10th of this month Shri Pranab Mukherjee came to Kochi , for attending his Party meeting, it was too on a private aircraft, this was also given by a news channel narrating that he is spending too much of money, which is against his words. This may be right but the money he spends is from his party fund. I came to know that all his expense where met by the congress party, it’s the money which people donate for the congress for their party work. Anyway let’s understand it’s not the money we pay as tax, or collected by government in some or the other way. Here in our Kerala we can see that our money collected by government is spending lavishly for the ministers for modifying their homes, buying new branded cars and many more.I don’t know why there is a hide and seek between the state and central govt in this issue for over expense, and why unnecessary spending time by news channels in this issue, and why the ministers seek time to speak more on this, from their valuable time which is more valuable than money.

172o നവംബര്‍ 17 ജമൈകയിലെ സെന്റ്‌ ജാഗോ ദില വേഗയില്‍ തൂക്കിലേറ്റപ്പെട്ട കളികോ ജാക്ക് നേപ്ടുന്‍ എന്ന ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പടക്കപ്പലില്‍ മാസ്ററരായിരുന്നു.അന്നായിരുന്നു നാവിക ജീവിതത്തിനു തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചത്‌.ഹിവെന്‍ വനെയയിരുന്നു കപ്പിത്താന്‍.ഒരു ഫ്രഞ്ച് കപ്പലുമായി ഏററുമുട്ടിയപ്പോള്ഹിവിലെ വാന്‍ അതിന് മടിച്ചത്‌ സഹപ്രവര്തതകരെ ചൊടിപ്പിച്ചു.അവര്‍ കപ്പിതതാനെതിരെ കലാപം നടത്തി ,ജാക്കിനെ പുതിയ നേതാവായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.ജാക്കിനെ പോരാട്ടത്തില്‍ നടന്ന കലാപം ഫ്രഞ്ച് കപ്പലിനെ തോല്പ്പിച്ചു.കപ്പലില്‍ നിന്നു പണം അവര്‍ക്ക് കിട്ടി. കലാപത്തിന്റെ പേരില്‍ കടല്‍കൊള്ള ആരംഭിച്ചു. സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരെയും അതിന് പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചു.അങ്ങിനെയാണ് വര്‍ണ്ണങ്ങള്‍ നിറഞ്ഞ കാലിക്കോ തുണികള്‍ തുന്നിച്ചേര്‍ത്ത കാലുറയും കുപ്പായവും ധരിച്ച കാലിക്കോ ജാക്ക് കടല്‍ കള്ളന്‍റെ പിറവി. കരീബിയന്‍ മേഖലയിലെ നിഗൂഢതയാര്‍നന കടല്‍ ഇടുക്കുകള്‍ ജാക്കിന്റെ വിഹാരരങ്ങമായി.പിന്നീടുഒരിക്കല്‍ രാജാവ്‌ വച്ച നീട്ടിയ പൊതു മാപ്പ്‌ സ്വീകരിച്ച നല്ലവനാകാന്‍ ജാക്ക് തീരുമാനിച്ചു അതിനായി ജാക്ക് കാരീബിയയിലെ ന്യൂ പ്രോവിടെന്സില്‍ കപ്പലടുപ്പിച്ചു.മറ്റു കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കപ്പലുകളെ പിടികൂടുന്ന ഔദ്യോഗിക കടല്‍ കൊള്ളക്കാരും അന്ന് ഉരുന്നു.അത്തരക്കാരുടെ പേരാണു പ്രൈവററീയന്‍.മുന്‍ കടല്‍ കൊള്ളക്കാരനും പിന്നീട് രാജാവിന്റെ കടല്‍ക്കൊള്ളക്കരനുമായ ക്യാപ്റ്റന്‍ ബെര്ഗ്ഗസിനോപ്പം ജാക്കും ചേര്‍ന്നു.കരീബിയന്‍ മേഖലകളില്‍ അവര്‍ സ്പാനിഷ് കപ്പലുകളെ വേട്ടയാടി.അതിനിടയിലാണ് ജാക്ക് പ്രണയത്തിലായത്.അത് ജാക്കിനെ വീണ്ടും കടല്കൊള്ളയിലെക് തിരിച്ചു വിടന്കരനമായി.വിവാഹിതയായ ആന്നിബോനിയെയയിരുന്നു ജാക്ക് പ്രണയിച്ചത്‌. ജാക്ക് തന്റെ പണം അവള്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കി.എന്നാല്‍ പരപുരുഷബന്ധതിന്റെ പേരില്‍ ഗവര്‍ണര്‍ അവളെ വിചാരണ ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് മുന്നറിയിപ്പുനല്‍കി.ആന്നിയെ ആപത്തിനു എറിഞ്ഞു കൊടുക്കാന്‍ ജാക്കിന് കഴിയുമായിരുന്നില്ല,അതിന് പരിഹാരമെന്നോണം ജാക്ക് തിരിച്ചു കടല്കൊല്ലയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി.അതിനുവേണ്ടി ജാക്ക് ഒരുപതെമരി മോഷ്ട്ടിച്ചു.ഒരുപാട്‌ മോഷണങ്ങള്‍ അവര്‍ ഒരുമിച്ച് നടത്തി. ഒടുവില്‍ ക്യാപ്റ്റന്‍ ബാര്നെററ് ജാക്കിനെ പിടികൂടി.ജമൈക്കയിലെ സെന്‍റ് ജഗോയില്‍ വച്ചു 1720 നവംബര്‍ ജാക്കിനെയും കൂട്ടാളികളെയും വിചാരണ ചെയ്തു.പിറ്റേ ദിവസം തൂക്കിലേറ്റി.

ഉത്തരകേരളത്തിലെ അനുഷ്ഠാന കലയാണ്‌ തെയ്യം.(Theyyam). ആര്യാധിനിവേശത്തിനു കീഴ്പ്പെടാത്ത ദ്രാവിഡ പഴമയാണ്‌ തെയ്യങ്ങള്‍ എന്ന് അഭിപ്രായമുണ്ട്. പുഴയ്ക്കു വടക്കോട്ട്‌ കളിയാട്ടം എന്നും ">പഴയാന്നാടി മുതല്‍ വളപട്ടണം വരെ തെയ്യം എന്നും വളപട്ടണം മുതല്‍ തെക്കോട്ട്‌ തിറയാട്ടം എന്നും തെയ്യം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. നൃത്തം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേവത സങ്കല്പമാണ്‌ തെയ്യങ്ങള്‍. തെയ്യത്തിന്റെ നര്‍ത്തനം തെയ്യാട്ടം എന്നും തെയ്യത്തിന്റെ വേഷത്തെ തെയ്യക്കോലം എന്നും പറയുന്നു. തെയ്യത്തിനായി പാടി വരുന്ന പാട്ട് (ഇതുവരെ എഴുതപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല)" തോറ്റം പാട്ടുകള്‍ എന്നാണു പറയുക. തോറ്റം എന്നാല്‍ സ്ത്രോത്രം എന്നു തന്നെയാണു മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടത്‌. തെയ്യത്തിനു മുമ്പായി എന്നൊരു അനുഷ്ഠാനം കൂടി കണ്ടു വരുന്നു. ഒരു തികഞ്ഞ അനുഷ്ഠാന കലയില്‍ വേണ്ട മന്ത്രാനുഷ്ഠാനം, തന്ത്രാനുഷ്ഠാനം, കര്‍മ്മാനുഷ്ഠാനം, വ്രതാനുഷ്ഠാനം എന്നിവയെല്ലാം തെയ്യത്തിനും ആവശ്യമാണ്‌.

The Tsunami

Tsunami is a set of ocean waves caused by any large, abrupt disturbance of the sea-surface. If the disturbance is close to the coastline, local tsunamis can demolish costal communities within minutes. A very large disturbance can cause local devastation and export tsunami destruction thousands of miles away. The word Tsunami is a Japanese word represented by two characters “Tsu” meaning harbor and “nami” meaning wave. Tsunami rank high on the scale of natural disasters.

Since 1850 alone, Tsunamis have been responsible for the loss of over 420000 lives and billions of dollars of damage to coastal structures and habitats. For e.g. The December 26, 2004 Tsunami killed about 130000 people close to the earthquake and about 58000 people on distant shores. Predicting when and where the next Tsunami will strike is currently impossible.

Tsunamis are most commonly generated by earthquakes in marine and coastal regions. Major Tsunamis are produced by large(greater than 7 on the Richter Scale) shallow focus ( < 30 km depth in the Earth) earthquakes associated with the movement of the sea floor produced a Tsunami in the excess of the 30 meters along the adjacent coastline killing more than 240000 people. From this source the Tsunami radiated outward and within 2 hours had claimed 58000 lives in Thailand, Sri Lanka and India.

26^th December, 2004- Kerala experienced the first ever Tsunami in its recorded history. When the phenomenon occurred; people could not gauge the magnitude of the disaster caused by these monstrous waves. The welling up and retreat of the sea initially attracted the curiosity of people. The scene suddenly changed and high amplitude waves invaded the low-lying coastal tracts of the southern districts of Kerala claiming 175 lives, leaving thousands injured and homeless and causing damage to property worth crores of rupees.

The coastal tracts of Kerala on the South-West of Indian peninsula does not come in the direct face of the wave generated at Banda-Aceh. But these waves reached the coast of Kerala, a far- field destination about 2500 km away. Apart from the long distance from the epicenter, this coast was considered as a shadow zone as far as Tsunami hazards are concerned. The wave orthogonal drawn on the mega ripples generated from the epicenter clearly shows that the Kerala coast is far away from the direct impact of the Tsunami.

The effects of Tsunami were felt all along the coast of Kerala. But the impact was not uniform throughout. The intensity drastically changed even in the main disaster zone. This is mainly due to the variations in the coastal geomorphology and the near shore submarine topology.

Regarding the measures of mitigation, the most important factor to be considered is educating people about Tsunami and the cues that nature provides before a Tsunami hits the coast. More bridges are to be constructed across the backwaters for effective evacuation of the people from the densely populated barrier beaches. Preservation of natural coastal dunes and mangrove forests along with coastal afforestation can reduce the impact of the aggressive waves.

The long anxious wait is over and the classic movie Pazhassi Raja has released in all the major theatres with much enthusiasm. The Hariharan – MT Vasudevan team is back with their historical venture with Mammootty at the helm. Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha was a novel venture and Pazhassi Raja can only heap laurels on the makers for their creative endeavour.

Pazhassi raja travels back in time to the 18th century when Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja hailing from the Kottayam Royal family stood up to face the unjust policies of the East India Company which had tried to establish its regime. Pazhassi Raja raised his voice against the unjust revenue policy, which they tried to impose in Malabar. The tax policy caused much chaos and there was widespread agitation.The film opens with Veeravarma essayed by veteran actor Thilakan sending a letter to the East India Company informing them of collecting taxes on their behalf. This endeavour is later taken up by Pazhayamveedan Chandhu played by Suman. However Pazhassi Raja strongly opposes this move and harps on guerilla warfare to establish peace in the area. The Company unable to come to terms with Pazhassi Raja’s rebellion enters into a treaty with him. However as we are all aware of the Company treacherous ways, they do not keep their word and leads to a war between Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja and the East India Company. The Kurichiyar tribe members offer support to the king in his fight for justice. Thalakkal Chanthu (Manoj K Jayan) leads the tribals, while Edachena Kunkan (Sarath Kumar) the commander-in-chief of Pazhassi Raja offer unflinching support to the King. The Lion of Kerala, as he was fondly known had to forsake his kingdom and family in this war for freedom.

"ഞാനും നിങ്ങളും ശ്രീനാരായണ ഗുരുസ്വാമിയും തീയ്യ സമുദായത്തിലെ അംഗങ്ങളാണ്‌ , ഞങ്ങളാരും കുരുതി കഴിക്കാനും പൂരം തുളളാനും പോകാറില്ല. നമ്മളെപ്പോലെ അനേകായിരം ആളുകള്‍ വേറെയും ഉണ്ട്‌. അവരും അതിനു പോകാറില്ല..... ഒരേ മതം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്ന ആളുകള്‍ അസംഖ്യങ്ങളായിരിക്കും., അവരുടെയെല്ലാം നടപടികള്‍ ഒന്നു പോലെ ഇരുന്നുവെന്ന്‌ ഒരിടത്തും വരുന്നതല്ല. അതിന്‌ സമുദായ സ്ഥിരതയെയല്ലാതെ മതത്തെ കുറ്റം പറയുന്നതു ശരിയുമല്ല. അങ്ങനെയുളള കുറ്റങ്ങളെ തിരുത്തേണ്ടതു സമുദായനേതാക്കളുടെ ജോലിയുമാകുന്നു."

National Knowledge Commission has been set up in 2005 .National Knowledge Commission transforming India into a global knowledge hub.India to be a globally competitive in the 21st century ,a critical factor would be our ability to harness our knowledge potential .National Knowledge Commission has proposed a blue print for reform of our knowledge related institutions and infrastructure which will enable India to meet the challenge of the future
National Knowledge Commission -Organisational SetUp
National Knowledge Commission consist of 7 members headed by the chairman Sam Pitroda .A small technical support staff headed by an executive director assist the members in their duties .
The overall task of the National Knowledge Commission is to "India will be a knowledge edge in the coming decade" ie to ensure that our country becomes a leader in the creation ,application and dissemination of knowledge,which will further lead to skill up graduation and aptitude formation.

PANCHAYATI RAJ SYSTEM IN INDIA

Panchayati raj system introduced through the 73rd constitutional amendment is the most definitive step towards re-energizing democracy in the history of independent india. In gandhian concept of gramaswaraj, panchayat was the basis of rural governance. Panchayat traditionally refers to 5 elders in a village who mediate conflict and spoke on behalf of all the residents of a village. The word has been retained by the 73rd amendents to the constitution, but it now refers to a body elected according to law . The same word is used for the 3 tiers of local administration brought in by the amendment- the highest being the distrct or zilla panchayat. The lowest is the gram panchayat that may cover several village.
Karnataka was the first state in the country to implement the Panchayati Raj Act; which mandeted 25percent reservationfor women in 1987. This wasprior to the 73rd and 74th constitutional amendments. As many as 14000 women were elected in the first election held in 1987. Significantly women from Dalit and backward communities have a presence in panchayati Raj institution.
Women's empowerment is not something, which can be handed over to women only. Today many women who fight the elections are from poor economic and backward social backgrounds; breaking social, cultural and economic barriers.

The location has some greenary left, blue spread of reservoir and the artiicial water all is also a nice to see...and there is a nice temble DEVI ARUVIKKARA...

2005 ഫെബ്രുവരി 17; നാളത്തെ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ചരിത്രത്തില്‍ ഈ ദിനം എങ്ങനെയാണ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ പോകുന്നതെന്ന് പറയാനാകില്ല. എങ്ങനെയായാലും ഈ ദിവസത്തെ ഒഴിച്ച് നിര്‍ത്തി ഒരു ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ചരിത്രം ഉണ്ടാകുക പ്രയാസം. കാരണം അന്നാണ് ആദ്യത്തെ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ട്വന്റി 20 മത്സരം നടന്നത്. അതിന് ശേഷം ടി 20 ഒരു ലഹരിയായി പടര്‍ന്നു കയറി എന്ന് മാത്രമല്ല ടെസ്റ്റ്‌, ഏകദിനം എന്നിവയുടെ പ്രസക്തിയെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നത് വരെ എത്തി നില്‍ക്കുന്നു!

ഇന്ന് ക്രിക്കറ്റ്‌ ലോകത്ത് നടക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ചര്‍ച്ച ഏകദിന ക്രിക്കറ്റിനെ എങ്ങനെ രക്ഷിക്കാം എന്നതാണ്. ഏകദിനം 50 ഓവറിനു പകരം 40 ഓവര്‍ ആക്കണം എന്നാണ് ഒരു നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം. 25 ഓവര്‍ വീതമുള്ള രണ്ട് ഇന്നിങ്ങ്സുകള്‍ ആക്കണമെന്ന നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം മുന്നോട്ടു വച്ചത് സാക്ഷാല്‍ സച്ചിന്‍ ടെന്‍ഡുല്‍ക്കര്‍ ആണ്. ഈ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം ദക്ഷിണ ആഫ്രിക്‌കന്‍ ആഭ്യന്തര ക്രിക്കറ്റില്‍ നടപ്പാക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

An Incomplete Love Story # 1

She had been studying with him in the same class for the past 8 months. They'd been good friends and nothing more. They traveled by the same train in the afternoons... but all this while she'd never felt anything for him. And she was sure he hadn't either.

He used to get off one station before her and they'd meet the next day again in class.

A cloudy evening, as usual, after class they both rushed to catch their train. They'd usually part ways in the train. He had a group of friends three coaches away from where she preferred to sit. But today, they were late.

Both of them got there just in time to jump into the train that had started slowly moving. She jumped in first and moved ahead and turned back to make sure he'd followed. Once they got in they figured, the train was so crammed with people that there was not the tiniest place to move in... they got stuck at the foot board.

He leaned against the open door and put his arm across to the other side as if to block that way so that she might not fall. She kept both their bags on the luggage stand behind her and stood leaning back facing him. It was starting to drizzle now and tiny raindrops felt nice against her face after a tiring day. She closed her eyes to enjoy and said.. " so beautiful..".. nodding he replied "hmm..." and watched her, eyes closed facing outwards.


She knew he was watching... she could feel his gaze and it tickled her in a way. She opened her eyes to look at his face and caught him turning away suddenly. This felt oddly nice... As rain started pouring down gradually she watched his arm getting soaked wet and the rain hitting and drenching him on the right side of his back not letting it reach her.


She let out a sigh..


The train jolted suddenly and to keep her balance she held his wrist for a moment and suddenly let go. He looked at her and smiled...


The train had slowed down and the rain was heavy... he suddenly leaned forward towards her.. so close that she could feel his breath against her face.. as she closed her eyes again, the coldness from the rain made her almost wish for a moment that he'd hold her warm. She could feel his arm reaching around her...


After a short awkward silence she opened her eyes to realize he'd reached behind to pick his bag from the stand, he still stood close their glances met.. for a small moment.


They both looked away at the same time.. and he moved back..
She started giggling and he burst out into a soft laughter watching her.. For a couple of minutes they both laughed as the train pulled up at the station where he was supposed to get down. As he got down and others pushed behind him, he turned back to wink at her.. and she moved back inside smiling at him...


As people moved out, she caught herself a seat and sat there, recollecting that tingling sensation that ran through her in the last few minutes. She thought back on what had just happened and smiled and slapped her forehead softly. This was so silly and so not possible she thought to herself... this would never work out...


The next day she walked into class again, but nothing had changed. She smiled at him and sat in the front most row like she always did. And he smiled back from his seat in the last row of chairs in the room... That afternoon they weren't in the same coach.. he went his way, as she took her usual seat.

Take note... don't always sleep late!!!

Good rest & sound sleep is very Important... if u don't sleep well,The toxic in your body will accumulate.. Affecting your health and your mood... The main causes of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.2. Not urinating in the morning.3. Too much eating.4. Skipping breakfast.5. Consuming too much medication.6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.'
Because: Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.Evening at 11pm - 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.Early morning 3 - 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.Morning 5 - 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.Morning 7 - 9am : Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time.. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Miles to Go before I sleep...

 In my life I had a great opportunity to visit our India’s most technologically acclaimed department (ISRO), and to know more about its projects.

This Saturday (10^th OCT) I visited ISRO, at that time I had the luck to see the rocket launching from the launch pad. It was named as Rohini RX 200.Its purpose was to know the climatic changes in the atmosphere. I visited the museum also. Some of the original parts of rockets, and some replica were also exhibited there. The rocket with 1:1 proportion was also found there, while watching this I came to know the actual size of the rocket

I was thrilled to hear that the first rocket from India was launched from Thumba. At that time the director was Dr.Vikram Sarabhai, and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam assisted him. During those days the sounding rocket was taken from the assembled place to the launch pad in a bicycle, and the heavier rockets was taken in bullock cart. Now we are in the group of countries which can launch our rockets to the space carrying satellites.

I came to know that there are three types of fuels used in firing rockets; liquid propulsion, gas propulsion, & cryogenic. The Cryogenic is the most advance one; the engine is filled with liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen when they combine together in a specified way they get fire. We have indigenously developed our own cryogenic engine, and the most important is ISRO is coming up with a new technology to fire rockets, and it’s expected to launch the rocket with the same advanced fuel by the year 2012.

The sounding rockets fired from ISRO Trivandrum, is used to find the climatic changes, and this information is given to all govt depts. The relevant of ISRO station here in Trivandrum is because this place is near to our equatorial magnetic field.

On visiting the place I found that all the persons there was very much free to answer all our doubts regarding the space technology. There was also a video projection about the Chandrayan launch & its mission, at the theatre. On this video I felt that I had a tour to Sriharikotta. Everything was the exclusive video footage of ISRO. Really the video was very much informative. Also I saw the replica of the probe which landed on the moon, and a real cryogenic engine. 

 Indian Space Research Organisation is having much importance with this place in Thumba, really I suggest everyone to should visit this place.

Let me honour again the masters of Indian Space Technology Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Dr. Homi J Babha, Dr. Rao, Dr. Abdul Kalam, Dr.Kasthurirangan and Dr.G. Madhavan Nair. 

I feel really proud of my country .Let us work united to make our India the most powerful country in the world, and also the most advanced country in all fields with all our cultural values.

നോബല്‍ ഒബാമ 

അമേരിക്കന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ബരാക് ഒബാമയ്ക്ക് സമാധാനത്തിനുള്ള നോബല്‍ പുരസ്കാരം.

കിട്ടിയ ഒബാമ സന്തുഷ്ടനാണ്. കൊടുത്ത സമിതിയും. എന്നാല്‍ "കൊടുക്കണമായിരുന്നോ?" എന്നാ ചര്‍ച്ചയിലാണ് പാവം മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ ഇപ്പോഴും. കുറച്ചു നേരത്തെ ആയിപ്പോയി എന്ന് ചിലര്‍, കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിയിരുനില്ല എന്ന്  മറ്റൊരു കൂട്ടര്‍. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അദ്ദേഹം അതിനര്‍ഹനാനെന്നു വേറെ കുറെപ്പേര്‍. എന്തായാലും ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ തകൃതിയായി നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ കഴിഞ്ഞ മാധ്യമ ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ ഒന്ന് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചാല്‍… ഓം പ്രകാശും പുത്തന്‍ പാലം രാജേഷും ചര്ച്ചയിലുടനീളം ശ്രധേയരായപ്പോള്‍ വരുന്നു ഒരു തേക്കടി ദുരന്തം, അപ്പോഴും ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ വാരിക്കോരിയെറിഞ്ഞു മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍‍ കസറി. ആ സംഭവം കേട്ടടുങ്ങും മുന്‍പ് പിന്നെയും മാധ്യമ ദൈവം കടാക്ഷിച്ചു, ഗ്രീഷ്മയുടെ രൂപത്തില്‍ എത്തി. അങ്ങനെ അത് ചൂടാറാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള്‍ ഇതാ Mr. Obama ചര്‍ച്ചാ വിഷയമായിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്തൊക്കെയായാലും ഇനി ഇതാണ് നമ്മുടെ വഴി എന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ നമ്മള്‍ ഭാവി മാധ്യമ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ക്ക്, ഇതിലും വല്യ വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ തരനെയെന്നു ദൈവത്തോട് പ്രാര്‍ഥിക്കാം…

Life is a Five Letter Word

Life physically is a four letter word...But it passes through a five letter word. Chance.

We often use the sentence, "There is a chance...". We don't know what will happen in the next second. There is a chance for everything. Now,

that's life; unplanned, mysterious, taking new turns and happening by chance.

Life is also a chance to do something good... Every new day is a new chance, to correct your mistakes and learn from them.

Its a chance to take a chance... to risk something in order to achieve something...

Use the "USE ME" bins

A usual scene.. is this not?

Is it because we don't have dustbins around us?

Is it because we are uncivilized people?

Is this because we were never taught at schools not to litter?

Did our teachers not scold us when we threw around toffee wrappers or waste paper in the school campus?

Is it because we are just so careless about our surroundings?

Is it because we enjoy to live in a dirty place?

Is this how we keep our houses?

Is this where we are supposed to throw the waste that does not belong in our house?

Is it just another thing to blame the government for like we always do, for mistakes we make?

Is it because we can't set an example by following this?

I myself am very careful to use dustbins to throw waste. I've had people laugh at me for that... Obviously you don't believe that.. here's one incident.


I travel by train everyday to the Institute and back. One such day while returning, I bought myself a bottle of water. Here i must tell you i (and one of my classmates) have managed to make a few friends ( read acquaintances) who travel daily by the same train. 

We had caught our seats and waited for the train to move... there was still more than an hour to go..

Meanwhile all the water in the bottle had finished, i got up went to the platform to find a dustbin to throw the bottle. When i returned and sat down... one of these people asked me where i had gone.. Knowing my (crazy) habit of obsessing about throwing waste in the dustbin.. my classmate told them that i must've gone to throw the bottle. This guy dismissed it with scoff and said "Why din't you just throw it out of the window?"

I said "I don't litter my home..."
He laughed, pulled out a small piece of paper and gave it to me saying "This is waste, throw this too..."I took the crumpled piece of paper and put it in my pocket and said, i'll throw this when i get back home... the dustbins a little far."

He suddenly changed his tone to say.. "Very good.. that's a very good habit".. I said.. "I'm glad you realized at least now." 


No one spoke for long after that.. 

Its a humble request.. Please keep my home clean... 
Don't tell others, don't preach.. but try and do this yourself. Till it becomes a habit. Its not difficult at all.. Just consider the place around you like you consider your home... keep your surroundings clean. The government has set up Dustbins in public places so that people use them. Do all you can to clean the place. Why do you need to be fined to stop littering... Are you agreeing to the fact that you need to be disciplined because you yourself have no sense of it? Are we not grown up enough to understand?

Gandhi Ji said  "The genesis for change is awareness. We cannot change what we don't acknowledge.."

So "Be the change you want to see in the world..." 

Because this is OUR homeland..

The Chai Wala...

I am sure my fellow students will stand no chance of denying to the fact that this chai kada is a SAVING GRACE for us...

Right from the minute the first session begins, we look forward to getting here. The slightest moment of delay for the first class to end gets us squirming in our seats in eagerness to reach the chai kada and have our cups of teas and coffees.... and the most amazzzing vadas.. (not to mention the smoker's haven of sorts, which some people in our class are definitely thankful for)

Oh and the chechi and the chettan are super cool for laughing with us at our nonsense.

And its like such a cutely placed corner, and perfectly shaded by that tree isn't it?

All for a TV show...

Charles Osgood said "Babies are always more trouble than you thought..."

except here we are,  watching babies in much more trouble than they thought they'd get into...

NDTV Imagine seems to be leaning on Reality shows to keep itself top on the TRP rating list... After Rakhi ka Swayamwar (which i followed religiously per-episode), its Pati, Patni aur Woh... With NGO's slamming charges of Violation of Child Rights, the Show is all over the news. Obviously other channels are hyping it up well but NDTV Imagine is strongly defending its program. They say the parents of these children are watching the way their babies are being treated continously through cameras... and at any point during the show they're allowed to back off if they think their is any sort of slack behavior while dealing with the child...

The only comment i 'd make is .. the parents are really inconsiderate and heartless to let their babies(who can't speak for themselves), be tortured day and night, in this manner by couples who 

a) know nothing about parenting

b) who are not even remotely related to the babies

c) who are only doing this for fame

It's not even like letting a baby sitter take care of your child for 2-3 hours.. this is making them stay with a new set of parents who don't really want to take care of them except for want of winning the title of a reality show... Kalyug indeed...

Pati, Patni or Woh will be divided into five stages:

* Pregnancy: The women wear empathy bellies similar to that of a woman who is 8 months pregnant and  attend pre-natal classes.

* Infants: A new born baby handed over to the couples who will have to take care of it’s needs, including feeding, changing nappies and erratic sleep schedules.

* Toddlers: with their own set of demands and tantrums

* Pre-teen and Teenagers: rebellious youngsters who need to be disciplined without being alienated.

* The Elderly:The couples will need to deal with elderly in the family..
